I've stayed at Caribe Blu several times and the longest walk is about 50' to the boat.Everything is there and they run fast boats for 8.Missed out on my trip last week unfortunately.

I am having some last minute concerns about that hotel - not quite sure now.

I like the fact it is within walking distance to town, and is scuba focussed.

But now I am thinking, since I am travelling on my own, I might end up a bit bored at this hotel.

I would like a hotel on the water, with a nice pool, and a pier or close to the pier that you go to for the dive boats.  A bigger hotel with more amenities?

Rodeo,

I don't think that you have anything to worry about.  I am certain that you will meet a number of people who have been on the island many times.  They will be more than happy to advise you as to where to go when you are not diving.

Just make certain that one of your first stops in town is at Tony Romes on 5th just a block and a half south of the square.  Tony will see to it that you are being sent to all the right places.  While you are there, be sure and have a "Flamethrower" for me.  With a little bit of luck, you can try and charge it to Rechards Gold Card.  Grin  If you are taking a taxi to Tony's, don't be surprised if the driver doesn't know where he is or tries to tell you that he is gone.  Just tell them to drop you at 5th, just south of the square and you will be a half a block away.

Another place for a great margarita is Wet Wendy's, just north of the square, also on 5th.  Be sure and say hello to Chad and Klara from Skip and Marilyn.

I check on Wickipedia and found out that "Bored" and Cozumel" are not allowed in the same dictionary.  Cheesy

BTW, I am pretty sure that the SCC is right on the water.  Just go and have a great fun and relaxing time on the island.  Cool

Videovern sums it up well,it's almost exactly what I tell people heading to Coz. If you go to Wet Wendy's don't forget to ask for the Dollar Coronas  Wink
You may want to try a Sneaky Ba$tard at Sam and Alex's place,Mezcalito's.
