TXGAL, I heard that Xcaret was the Disneyworld of Mexico but hadn't heard the same about Xel Ha. That having been said, as a diver myself who was introduced to diving through Eagle Ray Diver's Discover Scuba program, I'd ditch going to the mainland and hanging out with a thousand other tourists and try diving -- through Dive with Martin, Papa Hogs, Eagle Ray Divers, whoever. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

Rechard, long time no see. How's it going? Are you heartbroken about the Bears? We sure were! But, all in all, can't complain too much that a Midwest team won.

Well, I am very excited ! We have made the decision to GO ALL THE WAY !!!! We are taking the classroom courses here in Dallas and then going to finish our open water certification in Cozumel !!!  Grin

Any suggestions on who to use for that would be welcome !

Thank you all very much for your vote of confidence that I can get over my ear thing with the right instructor. I spent a while today discussing my ear situation with a person at the Adventurescuba place here and he confirmed everything that was already told to me on this great board !!!!

I can't wait until we start and now I really can't wait to get certified. I am determined to beat this ear ache dilemma.

Suzanne : just go easy on the ear. Think back to maybe Pompon/Gymnastics Huh and doing the splits for the very first time ?? The same goes for your ear's. Easy does it, all ahead but SLOW. Your Not in a hurry and as I always told students . If we're not having FUN lets get out of the water.
ScubaMare: Nah I'm not too much into non-participatory sports. I did get into two pools and spent $15 and won $15  Roll Eyes
Life has been good, here up North .But just dreaming about  the Next trip to Coz ? Maybe June? Busy busy busy . But the boat will be in the water by then Undecided Hum Coz or Sailing? Hope all has been well with you and yours.

I made an appointment for an ENT for March 13th. He actually specializes in diving (Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society) per his receptionist and website. My first pool classes are in the beginning of April - so hopefully with all the precautions I should be well prepared. We are going with Papa Hogs and per the posts her and the emails from them I should be in very good hands. Thanks to everyone for your help.
