I plan on snorkeling Dzul-Ha from either PalMar Beach Club or the Money Bar, and am wondering if there are any type of lockers at either, and/or if leaving a few things on a chair is fairly safe?  I'll be solo so don't really have anyone to watch my stuff while I'm in the water:)  Obviously won't leave an expensive camera sitting around or anything but what's the best thing to do with a towel, bag etc?
Thanks!

The money bar has lockers.  I have left all of our beach stuff sitting at our table while we were snorkeling on several occasions with no issues.  I do leave my money and any true valuables locked in the rental car.  Nobody has ever taken anything, such as my cheap 35mm underwater camera, but common sense should rule the day.  In certain circumstances, you might meet other guests who possibly would be willing to keep an eye on your stuff while you go out.  I have done this on occasion as well, and have reciprocated.  Have a great time, we can't wait to get back there.

FYI...Dzul Ha and Money Bar are one and the same.
We were there last week.
I found the snorkeling at Corona Beach MUCH better than Money Bar.
Money Bar has lockers.....Corona Beach does not.
We lock our stuff in the rent car....but when we didn't have a rent car we left it on our chair, covered with a towel and it was fine.

The purple sea fans at Corona Beach have grown alot in the past year.
Of course the myriad of fish we saw were cool too.
Saw a pair of Carribean Reef squid.
enjoy!

Yes indeed Corona is coming back from several set backs its seen over the years. Now to tell the diffeence between Reef Squid and cuttlefish even at a glance.......
With about 100 species of cuttlefish and 300 species of squid in the world, appearances vary widely, but in general the main difference between the two is body shape and fins.

Cuttlefish have short, broad, flat bodies containing the familiar cuttlebone, with a frilly fin running all the way around. Squid have tubelike bodies containing a soft bone descriptively called a pen, with a pair of triangular fins that make the tail end of the squid resemble an arrowhead. cuttlefish and squid have much in common with each other and with their close cousins the octopuses.

Thanks for the info Rechard!  Well I didn't make it down to Corona Beach last time but hope to on my next trip!

Speaking of snorkeling... not sure this is the best place to post but just want to let anyone know who may be looking for a guided snorkeling trip when they are down there, contact saidposeidontours@gmail.com.  Said was an awesome snorkeling guide, very personable and fun to be around.  He was very helpful to the less experienced snorkelers in the group, but also made the reef tour very interesting for those of us that were more experienced.  I highly recommend him!

I hope this flu overreaction clears up soon so the cruise ships return and everyone can get back on their feet there!  Thinking of all my friends there and hoping everyone's making it through the downturn alright!
